Family Friendly Holidays

 At 'Palmeiras' we do everything possible to ensure that families with children have a holiday that is both fun and relaxing.  With three children of our own we know how important it is to keep kids happy and entertained on holiday, within a safe and secure environment.

Our swimming pool has a wonderful paddling pool attached, ideal for babies and toddlers.  The water is chlorine free, meaning less irritation to little eyes and skin. The cottage gardens are all separated from the pool area and are enclosed and fenced, to give parents of toddlers that extra piece of mind. 

The properties have use of lawned areas, and the White Cottage garden now has its own sandpit, complete with buckets & spades!

We can provide a range of equipment for babies and toddlers, meaning you can travel lighter!  The following equipment can be made available to all our guests:

• Cots with linens
• Moses basket
• Junior beds (Age 2+) with integrated bed guards
• Baby Bjorn sling
• 2 stroller buggies (from 6 months)
• Baby baths
• High chair/portable high chair for restaurant use
• Reclining chair (up to 6 months) with attachable activity toy
• Baby gym
• Feeding equipment - children's cutlery, bowls, cups etc.
• Steriliser
• Mini blender
• Baby changing facilities and potties
• Inflatable baby seats for pool use
• Satellite TV
• Large range of pre-school toys and books

Our cottages are available to rent separately or together (subject to availability), which provides the perfect opportunity to bring grandparents or child minders along too.

Why Portugal?

• The food is simple with plenty of fish and chicken dishes - perfect for the under fives.
• Clean, sandy beaches with parking right on the beach front make sea-side trips effortless.
• The flight time is only 2 hours & 45 minutes from the U.K., with year-round sunshine - Great for winter breaks.
• There's an exciting range of activities for children: superb beaches with great rock pools, water parks, pony trekking, animal conservation centers, and an incredible sand sculpture festival (May to September) with workshops for kids.  Or, if you prefer, just let them spend all day in the pool!
